Content of DVGW Code of Practice DVGW G 1000
DVGW Code of Practice DVGW G 1000 specifies requirements for the qualification of the personnel and the organisation of companies for the operation of pipelines and stations for the pipeline-bound supply of gas and hydrogen to the general public.
Sufficient qualification and organisation of the companies is a prerequisite for ensuring planning, construction, operation and maintenance in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Therefore, this DVGW Code of Practice forms the basis for the Technical Safety Management of the DVGW and aims to provide a basis for the safe supply and operation of energy systems in accordance with the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and the High-Pressure Gas Pipeline Ordinance (High Pressure Gas Pipeline Ordinance).
The following amendments have been made to DVGW Code of Practice G 1000:2020-09:
- Addition of the hydrogen networks newly included in the Energy Industry Act in July 2021 in the scope and title
- Inclusion of examples of stations and differentiation from the other DVGW Sets of Rules of the Technical Safety Management (TSM) in the scope
- Addition of additional notes on legal classification in the preface
- Throughout the document, the term gas supply system has been replaced by the term energy system and the definition in 3.4 has been normalised in accordance with the scope.
- Inclusion of the system operator, system manager and labour manager in accordance with DGUV Information 203-090 and 203-092 as persons to be appointed in clause 7.5
- Addition of further examples of specific certifications for the selection of contractual partners in clause 8.1
