Content of DVGW Code of Practice G 292-2

The connection of injection plants for hydrogen to the gas supply network gives rise to indirect requirements for dispatching, as various system and gas quality parameters shall be monitored in the process control system, which are ultimately relevant to the proper operation of gas-consuming appliances at the network connection customer’s premises.

DVGW Code of Practice G 292-2 describes the areas of responsibility for monitoring these plants, specifies minimum requirements for monitoring-relevant parameters, and outlines reporting procedures and actions to be taken in the event of a limit violation.

It is aimed in particular at grid operators, system operators and companies involved in the planning and construction phases.

G 292-2 describes the minimum scope of parameters requiring monitoring, control and shutdown in an injection station for hydrogen (WSEA) to comply with the relevant DVGW Codes of Practice and serves as a basis for reporting and decision-making processes.

Furthermore, monitoring and reporting concepts are described which can be used as a basis for operational work in dispatching centres.
